Are there any costs?
One $45.00 Scholarship Registration fee is payable prior to the recipients’ scholarship training commencing. No payment is due at this time.
Scholarships cover training, rehearsals and performance costume only.

What is the Artz Community Scholarship?
The Artz Community Scholarship was created to encourage boys in years 7-10 attending school in the western suburbs of Melbourne to maintain a connection to the performing arts by way of funded participation in a musical theatre or acting production in early high school years.
How is the Scholarship Awarded?
The Scholarship is awarded by way of a funded training program in musical theatre & acting during term two (2) of the school year culminating in a performance. It is not redeemable for cash or monies or refundable if a recipient stops the program for any reason.
Who is eligible for the Scholarship?
*Boys in Years 7-10 who live or attend a school in Melbourne’s inner western suburbs. Applicants need to provide your school enrolment details or your local address.
*Recipients must be able to attend scholarship training program hours:
Saturdays 2:15pm – 4:15pm in Term 2 (No Training on King’s Birthday weekend) + Performance & rehearsal: Sunday June 18th 1:00pm – 6:00pm
Additional training may be offered on Thursday evenings to nominated scholarship recipients.
*Recipients must be able to make own way to / from training at the venue as transport is not supplied by the program: Venue: Artz Collective Performing Arts School, 1/37 Chambers Rd, Altona North, VIC 3025.
What Do I Need To Do To Apply?
Please fill in the application form the best that you can.
Applicants may fill in their own form, parents may fill it in or a school teacher can fill in an application for a student, however recipients will need a parent or guardian to sign their form prior to training at the program if they are successful .
We may host a workshop where short-listed applicants will attend and participate in a class. Applicants will be notified if & when they are required for this workshop class, if a second stage of auditions is required.
Applicants need to be able to attend the training sessions as listed, workshop, rehearsal and performance outcome on June 18th.
Applicants need to be in year 7-10 on the date of the program commencement.
Special applications with a supporting recommendation from a performing arts teacher at their school can be made for a Year 6 boy to apply.

How Will I Know If I The Application Was Successful?
If successful, the person putting in the application will be notified by phone & email that the scholarship recipient was successful. If you are a school teacher applying on behalf of a student, we will contact you and ask you to inform the student.
We will notify all applicants of the outcome of their application, regardless of whether it was successful or not.
We will confirm receipt of your application send a copy of it within 24hrs once you have submitted this form. If this does not happen please ensure the date is prior to the closing date & contact us at admin@artzcollective.com.au.
